Mark your calendar: on 1 September 2022, the second edition of the Netherlands National Open Science Festival will take place at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Registration opens on 4 April 2022 and is free of charge.

This year the festival contains two tracks: Track 1 Open Science in Practice (all day) invites active researchers working in the Netherlands. The parallel track 2: Open Science in Policy (afternoon) invites everyone interested in Open Science policy.

Join us to learn more about Open Science practices in research and current policy in the Netherlands. Plus, you’ll get to meet researchers in the Netherlands who already work openly or want to get started as well as Open Science policy makers.

In last year’s online edition we welcomed over 600 unique visitors; people learned and connected in workshops and plenary sessions in a spirited vibe. We’re excited to receive you in person in September and can’t wait to continue the conversation with you in this interactive, community-sourced event.

Please note: sessions and workshops will be held in-person only; we intend to livestream several plenary sessions.

If you wish to organize a workshop or session, please go here to submit your proposal by 13 May 2022.

This year, the Open Science Award focuses on societal engagement. Do you have an example of how you have engaged with society and/or societal partners as part of your research process(es) that you want to share to inspire others? Please go here to submit your case by 3 June 2022.

For those of you who wish to have a look at the harvest of the first edition: a collection of CC BY #OSF2021NL related materials can be found on Zenodo.
