Karina is a data steward with a background in mathematics and data science. She works as a Data Steward of the AHON database that comprises routinely collected care data from affiliated registration practices in the North of the Netherlands, and at the UMCG Digital Competence Center, the UMCG front-office supporting researchers on data management. Through both functions, she is working on learning as much as possible about the current data management best-practices, and helping researchers identify which practices fit their situation the best; as well as spreading awareness about the importance of FAIR principles and Open Science.
