Merel Middelman is an Open Education Expert and Information Specialist at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) Library. For several years, she has been actively promoting Open Education within and beyond her institution, contributing to initiatives that advance open educational practices, open educational resources, and collaborative approaches to teaching and learning. Since 2019, she has managed projects in the fields of open education and information literacy, while also teaching information literacy to BSc and MSc students. Merel holds a background in Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies, with a focus on integration policies, gender, and religion.
